Editorial policy
Inspired County Review aims to make county places easier to understand without overstating what the available information can show. Editorial decisions are guided by accuracy, independence and clear distinctions between editorial and partner material.
Accuracy and context
We check factual statements against appropriate material before publication and make the basis of an interpretation clear when it could be mistaken for established fact. We distinguish broad context from claims about a particular place, and avoid presenting a suggestion from a name, map or visible feature as proof on its own. Where information is uncertain or incomplete, the wording should reflect that.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial choices and conclusions are not for sale. We may accept relevant paid or collaborative work, but partner material is labelled so readers can recognise it, and it is kept distinct from independent editorial coverage. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage or editorial approval.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error or an unclear passage, contact us through the Contact page with the relevant article and detail. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted, making the change clear when it affects a meaningful point. A correction does not require us to adopt an unsupported alternative.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be generated with AI. Illustrations are not documentary evidence, and we aim to label generated imagery where its nature could affect how a reader understands an image.
A place is more than a point on a map
We look at the details that connect landscape, history and daily life. Each piece offers context without pretending one clue explains everything.
